Nearsightedness — Myopia

Nearsightedness may be treated with the assistance of contact lenses or spectacles. Myopia occurs when the eye dilates its focus and causing blurred vision when looking at distant objects. It occurs when light criss-crosses itself impacting on the cornea. Essentially, people will see adequately across a short distance, but their sight will worsen when focusing on longer distances.
